Project overview
Brit Systems were appointed as the electrical contractor for Kirklees Council to install a new retrofit Building Management System across Yorkshire & The Humber.
Kirklees Council is a local authority set in the heart of West Yorkshire providing local government services to those in the borough of Kirklees. They are the 13th biggest local authority in the UK in terms of population.
We’re always up for a challenge here at Brit Systems and it’s safe to say this was a big one. With multiple projects running concurrently we really had to focus on time management and our organisation for this project was key. Our outstanding logistics planning and phased construction really enabled us to take control and pull this project together.
After receiving the brief from Kirklees Council, Brit Systems got to work on the project management and installations of the Building Management Systems as we wanted to ensure all projects were completed on time snag-free. Our solution consisted of successful project management of the BMS installation across multiple sites and the installation of multiple control panels. With a varied client base, we were extremely happy with our successful partnership with M&E engineers and systems houses.
