Project overview

Brit Systems were appointed as the electrical contractor for Unilever Uk to Retrofit and refurbish the existing ageing Building Management System installation.

Unilever work to create a better future every day, with brands and services that help make sustainable living commonplace. With more than 400 brands bought in 190 countries, Britsystems were excited to be appointed contractor of choice for such a renowned company worldwide.

Brit Sytems were approached by Unilever Uk in 2018, they provided a brief overview of what they required, making it clear that the work must be carried out outside their working hours. In order to meet the client’s restricted timescales, we carried out all of our works, out of hours and incorporated their Christmas shutdown period into our plan to ensure the work was completed on time with no issues.

This installation consisted of multiple control panels, ageing plant equipment, and associated control peripherals which needed to be fully updated in line with current wiring regulations. Our experienced technicians serviced and maintained Unilever UK’s live systems and also produced a new functioning system that conformed with all current regulations.

We believe our engineers were the perfect fit for this project and although complex, our team exceeded the client’s expectations and carried out the control panel alterations & electrical installation to the highest standards ensuring it was done right the first time.
